Florey Chain House Fire Stopping

Project Description

Florey Chain House at Discovery Park in Sandwich Kent is a multi-functional facility occupied by an internation pharmaceutical company. The building was constructed in the 1980’s and has undergone a multitude of changes over the years as the occupant’s needs have evolved and the building modified to accommodate these changing needs.

Following an extensive external fire stopping survey Shepway Fire Protection were appointed to address and remedy over 500 identified failures in the buildings fire compartmentation. All works were undertaken under the FIRAS scheme which included recording and reporting all completed items as identified in the original fire stopping survey. The building was occupied during the course the project, so additional care and attention was required in order to minimise disruption of the client’s day to day activities
